35H
10 Artistic Residencies
Organized with Jimmy Beauquesne, Manon Dard, and Aude Laszlo

One week-long artistic residencies inviting both artists and curators to work from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.

Each group of participants became a body of thoughts fighting against precariousness. Driven by an economy of means, we occupied different types of places: artist's studios in Paris or Clermont-Ferrand, old maid's rooms doomed to imminent destruction, a squat in Bagnolet, a former chapel in Mulhouse...

These improvised workspaces were then open to the public - but the artists were under no obligation to present a finished work.

The idea was to exhibit a process rather than a product. Paradoxically, as we expressed the need to inscribe artistic practices in a production based capitalist system, we mainly had will to build alternatives.
